Gilmores and Coffee ☕

Welcome to my little corner of the world

So, it's a show? It's a lifestyle. It's a religion.

This is Gilmores and Coffee ☕.

If you follow me on Instagram (or know me in real life), you know that Gilmore Girls is LIFE for me. It has helped create my entire personality from a young age.

I toured Warner Bros. Studio when I was about eight or nine years old. At the time, Gilmore Girls was going into the second season. We toured around the soundstages and such, but I’d never heard of the show.

Soon after, I found it on (then) ABC Family (now known as Freeform). I watched a marathon one Labor Day (or another three day weekend) and that’s all it took for me to be hooked. I eventually got my mom into it as well.

Amy Sherman-Palladino has been one of my biggest writing inspirations for as long as I can remember. Knowing that she wrote a TV show and was the showrunner for this brilliant work of art made me realize that it was even a possibility for a job opportunity.

For me, this show made me feel seen. It was a girl who loved to read, enjoyed school and learning, was close with her mom and lived a simple life but had big dreams. I felt like she was me. This was someone I could relate to. And, then, of course, as I got older, I loved so many other things about it. The excellent writing. The quirky characters. The setting. The list goes on and on.

Now, at 33, in Lorelai’s age group, the show has been with me through all the stages of life - awkward elementary school years, high school, college, the uncertainty of adulthood and everything in between.

It’s still just as special to me as when I first started writing, if not more so.

Now, we’re celebrating the 25th anniversary of this beloved show, and the audience continues to grow and expand with new generations of fans. *sigh* It’s a beautiful thing.

Stay tuned for all things Gilmore! There’s a lot more in store.

That’s all for now,
